Read Albert’s Amazing Snail by Eleanor May. Read the book several times throughout the month and try some of these activities:

  • Look for spatial words that appear in bold in the book and talk about those words.
  • Look at an illustration and have your child use the illustration to guess the spatial word that appears in bold.
  • Act out the spatial words with your child’s favorite stuffed animal. For example, hide the stuffed animal behind an object, and then have the stuffed animal dance in front of the object (pg. 18).
