Week 3: Subitizing Even More Objects

Children play a game where they QUICKLY shout out the number of pictures on the plates shown.

Read the book What Comes in 2’s, 3’s, & 4’s? by Suzanne Aker.

Digital Learning Center: Children help characters blow bubbles and then work in pairs to pop the bubbles that have either two, three, four, or five sets of objects in them.

Digital Learning Center: Children seat the correct number of people at each table and then make sure that everyone gets the same amount of food to eat.

Digital Learning Center: Children help Teenie collect groups of two, three, four and five objects as she skateboards through the city.

Digital Learning Center: Children choose and decorate a robot with stickers, then dangle robots with the same number of dots together on the jungle gym.

Hands-On Learning Center: Children build roads with dominoes by placing matching numbers together.

Hands-On Learning Center: Players roll a die and QUICKLY take that number of “cookies” from the dish until the cookies are gone.

Book Corner: Children read subitizing books.
