Week 1: Making Shadows

Children watch and discuss the video Outdoor Shadows and make a list of some activities they would like to try outside.

Children act out the words as they chant the first verse of the classic poem “My Shadow,” by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Children build block structures on a surface between a lamp and a wall and observe the shadow cast on the wall.
